HONSENN’s Path to Sustainable Development

From Environment to Society

At HONSENN, we place sustainability at the core of our future
development, focusing on three key areas: Planet (Environment), Product,
and People (Society).

• We actively reduce our carbon footprint, use eco-friendly materials, and
innovate our products. At the same time, we are committed to enhancing
employee welfare, strengthening social responsibility, and ensuring our
business practices meet international sustainability standards. These
efforts not only support our long-term development but also align with
global sustainability goals.

• Through these strategies, HONSENN advances its business objectives
while contributing to global environmental protection and social
responsibility. By continuously innovating products, sustainability
practices, and employee welfare, we aim to set an example in the
electronics manufacturing industry, creating value for our stakeholders
and society.

The Three Pillars of Sustainability : Planet (Environment)

Reducing Carbon Footprint:
• We have installed advanced solar panels that generate 30MW monthly, covering 30% of our factory’s total electricity
consumption..
• To further enhance our carbon management, we plan to achieve SBTi certification (Science-Based Targets initiative) by
2025. This will enable us to set science-based emissions reduction targets that align with global climate goals.

Using Eco-Friendly Materials:
• We have successfully developed a range of sustainable products and can incorporate various eco-friendly materials
based on customer needs, including recycled (PCR) materials and bio-based alternatives. In addition to plastics, we have
expanded into sustainable metal materials, such as aluminum alloys, solder paste, and copper.
• HONSENN is one of the few companies with practical experience in modular product design and mass production,
successfully incorporating 100% PCR plastic and 100% PCR aluminum alloys into our products, enhancing their
sustainability.

Green Packaging Design:
• We use FSC-certified paper and recycled fiber materials for our packaging, following a green packaging design guide
that includes efforts to reduce or even eliminate plastic..

The Three Pillars of Sustainability : Product

Product Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• At HONSENN, we focus on modular product design, which allows for easier maintenance and the
availability of spare parts, thereby extending the product’s lifespan and reducing waste.
• HONSENN is one of the few companies with real-world experience in modular product design and mass
production.
• Additionally, we have successfully integrated replaceable components such as batteries, headbands, and
USB connectors — parts that are prone to damage by users — into our product lines, enhancing durability
and sustainability.

Circular Economy:
• Our approach to circular economy principles revolves around modular design, ensuring that our products
are easy to repair and upgrade.
• This reduces the need for new components and helps minimize waste, extending the overall product
lifecycle. We believe that this strategy not only benefits the environment but also provides added value to
customers by ensuring longer product use and minimizing obsolescence.

The Three Pillars of Sustainability : People (Society)

BSCI Certification:
• Our BSCI certification demonstrates that we adhere to international labor standards, prioritizing
employee work environments, wages, and welfare conditions. We continually monitor and improve labor
conditions to ensure that our entire supply chain complies with BSCI requirements, further enhancing
employee welfare and workplace fairness.

RBA Self-Assessment:
• As part of our ongoing commitment to higher ethical standards, we are in the process of applying for RBA
certification (Responsible Business Alliance). The self-assessment process reflects our commitment to
labor conditions, environmental protection, and health and safety, among other responsibilities. We
anticipate completing our RBA application and joining the organization by 2025.

Living Wages and Employee Welfare:
• In partnership with select clients, we provide living wages to production line workers, ensuring that their
basic living needs are met and improving their quality of life.
• To safeguard employees’ rights, we have also set up a workplace grievance hotline and established a
transparent and fair grievance process, providing employees with a clear and equitable channel to
resolve labor disputes or workplace issues.
